Conceptual Storytelling

Course Introduction

Conceptual Storytelling brings together the great traditions of storytelling and classic characters and melds them together with the New Media, particularly the booming game market. With this game-centric perspective, the great traditions of the past meet the future of storytelling in more modern "interactive media."

Historically, games have been a poor storytelling device, but that doesn't mean that they have to be! As students confront the history and potential future of storytelling in this popular medium, they will discover that games and stories have a potentially bright future together, but it is today a fallow field fated for a fertile future.
