“The best way to learn games is to play games. The best way to make games is to work.” – Alan Emrich
Part I: Class Homework
Re-read the Review Sheet (particularly the parts that were sped past during the lecture) and peruse the Required Reading assignments for this week. While you should be focusing your energy on progressing your Graded Course Project (see below), you will need to keep up with the required readings!
Part II: The Graded Course Project
You should be busy following your Production Schedule.
Important: Next week you will be presenting a graded Practice Pitch Presentation in class! This will be the Biz Dev's (i.e., instructor's) chance to evaluate the project's progress in relation to the Project Work Schedule. The Biz Dev will assign the same point value grade (up to 8 points) to every Team Member based upon the project's progress. (Outstanding individual efforts will be awarded extra credit.) Be sure bring all your current project materials to class and follow the Pitch Presentation format for this live, in-class 'project progress show-and-tell.'
Everyone should be trying to take their work up a level (to a higher state of completion) and contribute it to next week's Practice Pitch Presentation. Producers will want to coordinate everyone's efforts and make sure the Project Work Schedule is being adhered to. Lead Writer / Designers must present a work-in-progress copy of the Pitch Packet to show (which means compiling the contributions of others in addition to your own writing).
