The very subject matter for the game Tahiti is a story unto itself. The game, which is about Polynesian clan warfare circa 759 AD, is loaded with historical notes for this interesting and little-known slice of history. The game is won by the sole surviving clan on the island, but as the other clans sense defeat they can "sail off" into the Pacific Ocean and try to garner a level of victory for themselves by using the above tables. In effect, these tables constitute a Random Epilogue Generator; this kind of random story generator is a very useful device for game designers so study it carefully.
